Less is more in tapware brand Quadrodesign’s refurnished office space on Lake Orta, Italy, which recreates a domestic, flexible environment focusing on the quality and joy of work.
In re-styling the company's headquarters on Lake Orta, Quadrodesign’s art director and co-owner Enrico Magistro worked with his sister Elena to translate the peculiarities of the young and dynamic tapware brand into the interiors.
Simple volumes and a neutral, warm palette form the design basis. On the ground floor, the offices are transformed into a visually unified space, breaking up the typical corridor-office organisation. A sequence of glass walls and four birch volumes blur the segmentation, letting natural light to flood the rooms.
Walking along the corridor, one arrives at the dining room and a laid-back relaxation area leading up to a transition zone. The first floor is dominated by a large open space that serves as the company showroom, where the product displays are the protagonist.
Next door is the meeting room, characterised by windows on three sides and a birch wood panelling that doubles as a storage; a large, sculptural meeting table in black Fenix perches there.
