Shake Shack announces a new collaboration with local artist Bo Law for the opening of its newest location at Citygate Outlets.
With its spectacular scenery, a bewildering array of shopping outlets and fun-filled activities, Tung Chung is a prime destination for anyone seeking adventure, and it is where Hongkongers’ beloved burger and milkshake chain Shake Shack will be opening its newest restaurant.
Located at Citygate Outlets, the modern-day “roadside” burger stand will be the brand’s seventh location in the city, occupying a 3,921-square-feet space with an interior colour palette that reflects the nature surrounding Tung Chung.
Shake Shack is joining forces with local artist Bo Law to create a unique #Shackventure hoarding artwork inspired by the classic Flying Chess board game. Specialising in compressed line art and wall painting, Law brings the artwork to life by taking reference from the chess pieces used in the game.
These pieces, which feature symbols of airplanes, are often associated with Tung Chung as an aviation hub. His bold, colourful and whimsical artwork also reimagines the diverse community and culture of Tung Chung. With indoor and outdoor seating for 129 guests, it is also the first Shack Shack in Hong Kong where furry friends are invited to join in the fun.
