If you’re looking to get a portrait done, you can get the full star treatment at Studio Harcourt, which is renowned for its glamorous portraits inspired by the golden era of Hollywood. For the first time, the studio will be opening a location outside of Paris – right here in Hong Kong. In business for over two centuries, the studio has shot celebrities from all walks of life; Karl Lagerfeld, Cate Blanchett, Kevin Spacey, Fan Bingbing and Michelle Yeoh have all sat under the Studio Harcourt lights. The studio’s Hollywood grandeur is evoked in its interior design as well – think moody black corridors, reproductions of set designs and boudoir-like seating with red accents.

This is how it works: show up for your appointment with your hair done and with your outfit of choice. Then, get treated to a professional make-up session before posing for your portraits. After you select your shot (or a range of shots) with the photographer, the images are sent to Paris to be finalised by the studio’s experts. The shots are sent straight to your home a week later – after being registered with the studio’s logo, of course.

Studio Harcourt opens in late June, but begins accepting appointment bookings from mid-May onwards.
