Renowned bartender and award-winning bar owner Sandeep Kumar is set to debut his latest venture, The Blind Spot, on September 13, 2024.
Inspired by the hidden speakeasies of 1920s Britain, this meticulously designed bar promises to transport patrons back in time with its carefully curated selection of forgotten cocktails and a captivating ambiance.
Step into The Blind Spot, and you'll be enveloped in the warm, inviting atmosphere of a bygone era. The rich leather seating, deep wood finishes, and custom artworks evoke the spirit of post-war drinking establishments, creating an exclusive and sophisticated setting. Observant guests may even notice portraits that resemble characters from the hit show Peaky Blinders.
The bar's design pays homage to the artistry and attention to detail that defined the golden age of cocktails. Vintage liquor bottles and tableware are displayed with reverence, while an impressive collection of top-shelf Scotch whiskies is presented in elegant crystal decanters and poured tableside for an elevated touch.
Complementing the stunning interiors, The Blind Spot's signature offering is the time-honored Sherry Cobbler, known as The King's Cobbler. This refreshing concoction blends Rabarbaro Zucca, strawberry, lime, and sugar, served over hand-crushed ice – a nod to the era when artisanal ice preparation was an art form. Classic Martinis are also served with a twist, offering patrons the opportunity to customize their drinks with traditional toppings such as pickled onions, olives, and citrus.
"The Blind Spot is more than just a bar; it's a journey back to the golden age of cocktails," says Sandeep Kumar. "We've meticulously designed every aspect of the space to transport our guests to a bygone era, where the art of mixology is celebrated and the forgotten classics are revived."
Located at 39 Aberdeen Street in the Central District, The Blind Spot will be open from Monday to Saturday, 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Reservations and inquiries can be made through direct message on Instagram (@theblindspot_hk) or WhatsApp (852) 9805 3165.
