The largest fair of its kind in Asia, the Hong Kong Houseware Fair is an essential source of inspiration for designers and industry experts looking for the latest innovations and networking and sourcing opportunities.
This year, the 31st edition of the fair will feature more than 2,100 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions that present inventive products designed for every room in the home and for outdoor areas.
The fair is set out in clearly defined zones to make navigation easy. These include the Hall of Elegance, a premium zone that exhibits products of superlative quality and craftsmanship, and Bath, Beauty & Healthcare, Baby Products, Green Living, World of Fine Décor, World of Fine Dining, and World of Pet Supplies. There is also a handy Small Orders Zone.
New to the fair this year is the Interior Furnishing Materials zone, which highlights materials for interior design and remodelling projects. For those seeking inspiration for architectural projects and contract business, there are also the Furniture and Outdoor Living zones.
Throughout the four day fair there will be a number of product demonstrations, as well as networking receptions, forums and an informative talk on houseware and home textile trends for 2017 given by a trend specialist from WGSN and a representative from the Hong Kong Interior Design Association.
An added bonus this year is that the fair runs concurrently to the HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair, which comprises myriad, high-quality textiles and soft furnishings for the home.
The fair runs from 20-23 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Trade buyers aged 18 and above are welcome. Trade visitors can pre-register at the event’s website or mobile site for a free admission badge (onsite admission fee: $100 per person).
