Construction company Hickory has just completed The Hyatt Centric Melbourne, a $150 million development located at 9-27 Downie Street, Melbourne.
Designed by Architectus, with interiors by Hecker Guthrie, Hyatt Centric Melbourne consists of a six-level podium, backed by a 20-storey glass tower. The hotel features 278 contemporary guest rooms across 26 levels.
The state-of-the-art hotel exudes a cosmopolitan feel and is a reflection of Melbourne's vibrant street culture. The spacious guest rooms have been designed with clean, uncomplicated lines and a soft colour palette, and incorporate locally inspired design elements that are intended to reflect the city’s heritage and urban landscape.
Hyatt Centric Melbourne features a spectacular rooftop bar and restaurant on the 25th floor, which offers a list of hand-crafted signature cocktails and panoramic views of the Yarra River and the city skyline. Guests can enjoy locally sourced Mediterranean cuisine at the hotel's exclusive TOMA restaurant or grab a coffee from the Allie Lane café, located in the hotel’s lobby. Additional guest features include spacious function rooms on level 5 and level 6, a gym, lap pool and steam room.
Located at the corner of Downie Street and Flinders Lane, Hyatt Centric Melbourne will boast convenient access to Southern Cross Station, the Docklands and Southbank precincts, and the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
