Stay Living was established in 2018, dedicated to providing exceptional residential and commercial interior design, as well as renovation and custom furniture services. Having successfully completed over 100 projects, the company takes pride in striving for perfection in all aspects of design and service.
Could you describe your design philosophy, and how it came about?
To design independently without any constraints or frameworks. Each project is approached as a unique entity with its own specific requirements and background. The goal is to avoid limiting the boundaries and style of the design based on personal preferences and habits. I believe that design should reflect the client’s personality and lifestyle, rather than being constrained by the designer's subjective preferences. Therefore, I maintain an open mindset throughout the creative process, deeply understanding the client's vision and needs, and using this as a foundation to explore and realise innovative designs.
Which project(s) are you most proud of this year?
One of the projects I’m most proud of is our new office in Tsuen Wan. We designed and built it ourselves, so we were able to fully showcase our design philosophy and brand culture. With some meticulous planning, we crafted an office space that's not just easy on the eyes, but also practical and comfortable for our employees to work in. We wanted to create an environment that would enhance their overall productivity and creativity. The design has flexible work areas and relaxation spots, so everyone can take a breather from their busy schedules, which is crucial for fostering teamwork and cohesion.
What’s next for your company?
Our plan for the future is to set up our own furniture brand. This will let us really bring our design ideas to life. We now have our own factory, enabling us to custom-make suitable and unique furniture for some of our designed units. Through this brand, we aim to provide highly designed and functional furniture that caters to customers' needs for comfort and aesthetics, while establishing our distinctive style in the market. This plan is not only an expansion of our business, but also a commitment to design quality.
