Nichole Choi Studio is a multi-disciplinary interior design studio specialising in F&B and hospitality design. The company’s design journey is driven by developing conceptual stories for different spaces and creating experiences that bring people together. The team crafts narratives into spaces and objects, allowing people to create and connect their own stories. This is the beauty of creation and what makes each of the studio’s projects unique.
Could you describe your design philosophy, and how it came about?
Our design philosophy is to create a conceptual storyline for each project, taking inspiration from the project owner’s culture, natural forms, and processes. We aim to craft a design concept for a space that is not only enjoyable, but also functional.
Which project(s) are you most proud of this year?
The Hoi King Heen at the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hotel. The project draws inspiration from the traditional Chinese siheyuan. From spatial planning to materials and details, it reinterprets the beauty of traditional architecture through a contemporary lens.
What's your go-to spot that inspires you the most creatively?
I find inspiration in exploring different spaces and discovering local cultures and stories during my travels.
What's next for your company?
We will begin to explore project opportunities for hospitality projects in Hong Kong and overseas, aiming to craft unique and holistic experiences in different areas of the world by taking inspiration from various cultures.
