Founded by former Goldman Sachs banker Lelian Chew, luxury wedding and events group The Atelier & Co Holdings has opened a new two-storey flagship on Staunton Street in Central.
Lelian Chew has been synonymous with luxury weddings in Asia, but her path into the industry has been anything but conventional. Drawing on nearly a decade as a private banker at Goldman Sachs advising high‑net‑worth clients, she left finance in 2013 to found The Wedding Atelier in Hong Kong, building a practice around couture celebrations, brand events and bespoke experiences that has since earned international recognition, including an appearance in the BBC documentary Million Dollar Wedding Planner.
This latest chapter takes her back to Staunton Street, where The Wedding Atelier first established its Hong Kong presence. Designed by Lelian herself, the new flagship reads almost like a vertical narrative: the ground floor is dedicated to The Floral Atelier, a floral-focused space centred on elevated gifting and modern arrangements, where fresh, preserved and glass florals are styled alongside specialty teas, confections, scented candles and home accessories to frame a quieter, ritual-led way of gifting.
Upstairs, the mood shifts into planning and production. The first floor houses the weddings and events studio, where the team develops concepts for luxury occasions, destination weddings and immersive experiences, expanding what begins as a bouquet or installation downstairs into fully choreographed celebrations.
Lelian sees the flagship as both a return and a statement of where the brand is headed in Hong Kong. “We wanted to create a space that feels open, inspiring and deeply connected to Hong Kong — a place where florals, gifting, celebrations and ideas can come together, and where our community can bloom with us.”
