Set between Hong Kong’s urban core and the Southern District’s hills and coastline, LA MARINA brings together city convenience and a more relaxed pace of living.
Located atop Wong Chuk Hang MTR Station, LA MARINA is the second residential phase of The Southside. Jointly developed by MTR Corporation, Kerry Properties and Sino Land, the project sits above Wong Chuk Hang MTR Station. It combines the connectivity of a station-top address with the Southside’s coastal surroundings and an increasingly established mix of retail, dining and leisure amenities.

Wong Chuk Hang has undergone considerable change in recent years. Once defined largely by industrial buildings, the neighbourhood is steadily evolving into a mixed-use district, where offices, shops, restaurants, arts and cultural venues, and new homes now sit alongside its established industrial fabric. The opening of the South Island Line, together with the ongoing development of THE SOUTHSIDE, has helped to accelerate that transformation.
For residents of LA MARINA, Wong Chuk Hang Station provides direct access to Admiralty and the wider MTR network, while Deep Water Bay, Aberdeen and other parts of the Southern District remain close at hand. The location offers a different side of Hong Kong Island living: well connected to the city, yet within reach of greenery, harbour views and the coastline.

Architecture inspired by sailing
Designed by P&T Group, LA MARINA takes its architectural inspiration from sailing and its proximity to Deep Water Bay. The development’s blue-glass façades are complemented by gold-toned aluminium details that reference billowing sails. As daylight softens towards sunset, the metallic elements shift in tone, lending the towers a sense of movement and depth.

The podium gardens and base have been conceived to evoke the form of a ship’s hull, extending the nautical narrative throughout the development. The result is an architectural language that responds to the Southern District’s waterfront setting without depending on sea views alone to define its identity.
Homes for different lifestyles
LA MARINA comprises Towers 1A, 1B, 2A and 2B, with 600 flats in total. Layouts range from one- to four-bedroom homes, with saleable areas of approximately 320 sq ft to 1,420 sq ft.
Only a limited selection of four-bedroom, dual-en-suite residences and penthouse special units remains available. Ranging from 951 to 1,643 sq ft in saleable area, the penthouse collection comprises three-bedroom, one-en-suite and four-bedroom, dual-en-suite layouts. Each residence includes a utility room with a lavatory, while selected homes feature an internal staircase leading to a private rooftop, extending the living space outdoors and lending the homes a more expansive feel.

This 1,235 sq ft duplex show flat features three bedrooms, including an en suite, plus a utility room, a 513 sq ft private rooftop and a 64 sq ft staircase enclosure. Double-height ceilings add to its sense of openness. The living and dining area occupies the upper floor, with broad windows looking towards Aberdeen Marina Club and the waters of Shum Wan. A staircase leads directly to the rooftop, where views stretch from the marina and sailboats to the green slopes of Yuk Kwai Shan. Conceived around the idea of an ad-lib in music, the interiors combine contrasting materials, colours and forms to create a lively, free-flowing atmosphere. It is the development’s only duplex sky residence.

A resort-style clubhouse
The clubhouse and landscaped grounds form another key element of the development. CLUB MARINA, a resort-style clubhouse designed by Hospitality & Leisure Asia, draws on the visual language of water and yachting. Curved forms, layered textures, considered colour palettes and patterned details evoke the movement of water, while complementing the project’s nautical architectural theme.
Together, the clubhouse and landscaped areas extend across more than 60,000 sq ft. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, gymnasium, billiards room, children’s play area, function rooms, reading lounges and sauna facilities. The breadth of amenities creates spaces for exercise, relaxation and family time. Residents may swim or work out after a busy day, spend time in the landscaped grounds, or make use of the children’s facilities and function spaces at weekends.

Southside convenience
For day-to-day shopping and dining, LA MARINA is close to THE SOUTHSIDE, the retail complex adjoining Wong Chuk Hang Station. The mall brings together shops, restaurants, supermarkets and entertainment facilities, placing many everyday essentials within the neighbourhood.
THE SOUTHSIDE has been designed with open spaces and greenery that echo the surrounding hills and the wider character of the Southern District. Alongside other new residential and commercial developments, it is helping Wong Chuk Hang grow into a more rounded local community, rather than simply serving as a transport interchange or commercial district.

Transport is one of the location’s principal advantages. From Wong Chuk Hang Station, residents can reach Admiralty in two stops on the South Island Line, connecting there to the Island Line, Tsuen Wan Line and East Rail Line. Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui and districts across the New Territories are therefore readily accessible by rail.

This is particularly convenient for those working in Hong Kong Island’s central business districts, commuting across the city, or wishing to rely less on private cars. Compared with more established residential enclaves in the Southern District, LA MARINA combines a less densely built environment with a comparatively short journey to the city centre.
LA MARINA is well placed for families, within Primary One Admission School Net 18 and the Southern District secondary school network. More than 10 of Hong Kong’s 50-plus international schools are located in the Southern District, including Singapore International School, around a two-minute walk from the development. Other established schools in the area include St Paul’s Co-educational College Primary School, St Stephen’s College and HKUGA College.
LA MARINA brings the everyday essentials — commuting, shopping, exercise, family time and leisure — together in one of Hong Kong Island’s fastest-evolving neighbourhoods. For those unwilling to choose between city convenience and a little room to breathe, it makes a compelling case for enjoying both.
