A well-designed tap has become both a visual anchor and a daily workhorse in the modern kitchen.
At EuroCucina 2026, part of Milan’s Salone del Mobile, Dutch brand Quooker presented its latest systems that refines what a premium kitchen setup can offer. Quooker, inventor of the boiling-water tap, traces its origins to 1970 when physicist Henri Peteri built the first prototype in his basement. Now led by the second generation, the family-run company has turned that early innovation into a globally established kitchen solution.
CEO Jacob Kragh described EuroCucina as “a very important moment” for Quooker to “engage with key players across the industry.”
“There are a couple of trends that are happening right now in the kitchen industry. One is around sustainability, which is not surprising, it happens everywhere. And I think another one is also the way in which kitchens are becoming lifestyle places in the homes. Great thing is that Quooker offers an opportunity for every household to have the convenience of the water in any way they want in the kitchen at an instant.”
He added that as kitchens continue to move upmarket, there is a clear shift towards premiumisation, allowing customers to better understand how Quooker adds value for end users. “More and more households will see the benefit of a Quooker as an integrated part of their kitchen, and the EuroCucina is a great place for our customers to see that in action.”
Experience-led stand
Moving away from a conventional display, the stand centred on real-life use. Live cooking demonstrations and a cocktail bar showcased boiling, chilled, and sparkling water in action. The setting reflected Quooker’s Dutch roots, combining functional clarity with restrained, minimalist design.
Integrated system
Quooker consolidates multiple functions into a single tap, supplying boiling water, hot and cold mains water, filtered chilled water, and sparkling water. Safety features include a press–press–turn control and a double-insulated spout. Its insulated tank uses just 10 watts on standby.
Tank options vary by household needs. The PRO3 delivers three litres of boiling water, suited to smaller homes, while the COMBI+ supplies seven litres and connects directly to hot and cold feeds, reducing wait time and water waste. The optional CUBE system adds filtered chilled and sparkling water.
