Roca’s Avant all-in-one toilet reflects a clear shift in bathroom design, where technology is no longer on show but quietly integrated into the space.
At Salone del Mobile Milano 2026, one idea stood out. The most advanced design is often the least visible. Across the fair, innovation appeared in subtle ways, from concealed fixings to pared-back forms and intuitive features that do not draw attention to themselves. Bathrooms in particular are moving towards calmer, more considered environments shaped as much by wellbeing as by function.
Avant sits firmly within this direction and, in many ways, ahead of it.
Founded in Barcelona in 1917, Roca has built a reputation for design-led bathroom solutions and has grown into one of the world’s leading manufacturers in the sector. Avant, its all-in-one toilet series, not only responds to this shift but leads it, resolving both form and function into a single, coherent piece.

A streamlined, all-in-one solution
Avant’s defining feature is its integrated cistern, fully housed within the ceramic body. There is no exposed tank, no wall-mounted flush plate, and no need for structural wall work typically required by concealed systems. The result is immediate. Cleaner lines, a greater sense of openness, and a bathroom that feels more architectural and considered.
This “invisible” approach does not reduce functionality. It allows function to sit more naturally within the space, present but never dominant.

From a practical standpoint, the all-in-one design also makes sense. All key components are contained within the unit, making installation more straightforward. The toilet seat can be installed in a single step, making everyday cleaning easier. Compared with traditional concealed systems, there is no need for complex wall construction, and fewer issues to contend with over time. The seal-free design further reduces exposed elements and helps minimise the risk of leakage, supporting both reliability and long-term use.

A quieter, more composed experience
The user experience follows the same thinking. Roca’s Rimless® Vortex flush delivers a 360‑degree, thorough and controlled clean, while the optimised water flow minimises splashing. Silent Flush technology keeps noise to a minimum, creating a quieter and more composed atmosphere that feels closer to a private spa. As bathrooms become more closely tied to wellbeing, these details begin to matter more.

Hygiene and upkeep have also been carefully considered. The Supraglaze finish creates a smoother surface that resists build‑up for easier cleaning. Another key feature of the Rimless toilet is that the inner bowl has no hidden areas where dirt can accumulate. Controls are discreet and intuitive, positioned at the side and paired with a dual flush system of 3L and 4.5L to support efficient water use. Nothing feels excessive. Each element is there to support ease of use.

Avant meets the demands of contemporary living by addressing space, function and overall comfort in equal measure. Available in both wall-hung and back-to-wall floorstanding versions, it adapts easily to different layouts while maintaining a consistent, pared-back aesthetic. For modern homes that prioritise design, practicality and ease of maintenance, it offers a solution that feels both considered and complete.
Recognised with the Red Dot Design Award 2024, iF Design Award 2024 and DFA Design For Asia Awards 2025, Avant reflects a broader evolution in bathroom design. As highlighted at Salone del Mobile Milano 2026, the focus is shifting away from visible technology and towards spaces that feel intuitive, calm and well resolved.
