Design elites were treated to a tasteful evening of hands-on cooking and exceptional dining at V-ZUGs Causeway Bay showroom.

The holiday season arrived early at V-ZUGs sleek Causeway Bay showroom in early December, where the Swiss kitchen appliance brand joined forces with Home Journal for an intimate celebration that perfectly married creativity with cuisine.

The event welcomed five ADC members, including Eva Wong Architects, Root Design HK Ltd, Tommy Choi Interior Design Limited, Common Room Home & Living, and SOSA Group Ltd., who rolled up their sleeves and dove hands-on into the art of crafting Christmas Danish pastries using V-ZUGs renowned combi-steam oven CombiSteamer. The interactive cooking class set the stage for an indulgent six-course dinner, each dish expertly prepared by V-ZUGs in-house chef.

V-ZUGs in-house chef Saki, who previously worked at Michelin-starred restaurants in Spain, prepared a specially curated menu for guests.

“The event had such a creative vibe, and I had so much fun meeting new friends,” said designer Tommy Choi. “If youre into baking, you have to experience their showroom and see how precise and fast these ovens heat up.”

For discerning home cooks, an ovens stability and precision often make or break their baked delights. Preheated to 230°C, the CombiSteamer promises to deliver perfect fluffiness and crispness by harnessing its evenly distributed hot air and steam functions. “I was most impressed by the ice cream dessert encased in thin, golden pastry,” shared Anya Wu, founder of Root Design HK Ltd. “Its perfectly crispy on the outside, ice-cold within. Truly remarkable.”

Another highlight of the menu was the succulent roasted chicken, prepared using the flagship CombiSteamer V6000 45L Grand. Measuring 90cm wide (the first combi-steamer this size in the world), this oven boasts an exceptionally large capacity, capable of accommodating two king crabs (and two chicken that night) at the same time. “The chicken came out perfect – crispy skin with incredibly juicy, tender meat,” raved Rita Maeve Wong, founder of SOSA Group Ltd.

V-ZUG has been crafting premium kitchen appliances in Switzerland for over a century, and the CombiSteamer showcases exactly why the brand has staying power. It handles everything from steaming and baking to roasting and reheating, all in one sleek unit.

“V-ZUGs design is sleek and elegant, while incorporating highly advanced technology that delivers unparalleled cooking and baking performance,” commented MJ from Common Room Home&Living. Wong agreed, noting that several of her clients use V-ZUGs Refresh Butler. “They all give rave reviews, its so easy to use and seriously high-tech.” Come experience it for yourself.
